Meals and Manners Around the Rose Playhouse

The Rose Playhouse

Following the latest government guidelines on CoVid-19, the Rose Theatre Trust regrets that we now have to cancel this event on 29 March 2020.

We fully intend to reschedule, but since this is very unlikely for the next few months, we will be contacting everyone via TryBooking, through which bookings were made, to arrange reimbursement.  If, however, you would prefer to donate the sum, we would ask that you make this clear in an email to us by 3 April 2020.  If you have any enquiries, please email

Come along to hear about the Food and Table Manners of the early Bankside Rose Playhouse and surrounding area, including the rented rooms and more noble houses.  Did they behave like us today?
This event begins at 2pm.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS ADVANCE BOOKING ONLY.  Tickets will not be available at the door.
Price: £10, which includes some tasters of food and drink; £6 for Friends of the Rose. There is a 15p per ticket booking fee with TryBooking.
The Rose is an indoor archaeological site; it is advisable to dress warmly because there is no heating. There are no toilets, so please use those at Shakespeare’s Globe, which is 200 metres away.
