‘Save thou my rose; in it thou art my all’ (Sonnet 109): ALL the Sonnets of Shakespeare

An online event beginning at 7.00 pm

Presented by Paul Edmondson and Sir Stanley Wells

For the first time, all of Shakespeare’s sonnets — those published in 1609 and those to be found within the plays — have been presented in chronological order. All the Sonnets of Shakespeare is a ground-breaking edition from Cambridge University Press, and the co-editors are here to tell us more about it. The presentation will last around half an hour plus an opportunity to ask questions.

Professor Sir Stanley Wells is Honorary President of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Professor Emeritus, University of Birmingham. He is the general editor of the Oxford and Penguin Shakespeare. His many books and articles include Shakespeare For All Time, Shakespeare & Co and Shakespeare On Page and Stage.

Dr Paul Edmondson is Head of Research for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. His publications include Shakespeare: Ideas in Profile, Finding Shakespeare’s New Place: an archaeological biography (with Kevin Colls and William Mitchell) and The Shakespeare Circle: an alternative biography (with Stanley Wells).
